I highly recommend utilizing the 1700 MCQs for PLAB preparation. It is advisable to start in the first month and aim to complete them at least once or twice by doing a set number of questions daily. Although some questions may be challenging, Dr. Khalid's detailed and constantly updated explanations provide valuable insights that can enhance understanding.

In the second month of preparation, I suggest using Samson Notes for PLAB-1 as a concise and reliable study resource. These notes cover all necessary topics, including medical ethics, and offer sufficient explanations to remember key management plans required for the exam. While the notes may not be as detailed as other sources like the Oxford Handbook, their simplicity makes them easy to comprehend and memorize. However, for topics like neurology and anatomy, I found consulting additional resources like First Aid for USMLE STEP-1 and Kaplan Handbook of Anatomy helpful.

In the last two weeks before the exam, it is crucial to utilize the Samson Mocks for PLAB-1. These mock papers, created by Dr. Samson Chissi from Samson Academy in London, serve as an important tool for assessing your preparation level and gaining confidence. There are seven mocks available on the PLAB group on Facebook, and I recommend timing each one with an exact two-hour duration to simulate the exam conditions. By following this preparation plan, you can expect to achieve a score between 66% and 75% in the mocks, significantly boosting your confidence for the actual exam.

In these two weeks, it's also advisable to thoroughly revise the Samson Notes, either directly from the book or from any personal notes you may have taken. This revision will reinforce your knowledge and ensure that important information remains fresh in your memory.

The app and study resources cover a wide range of subjects, including acid-base balance, anesthesia, cardiovascular system, connective tissue disorders, dermatology, endocrine, ENT, gastroenterology, hematology, hepatobiliary system, infectious diseases, medicolegal issues, neurology, obstetrics, gynecology, oncology, ophthalmology, pediatrics, pharmacology, psychiatry, renal medicine, respiratory medicine, surgery, toxicology, and urology.
